Cornerstone Community Church
Looking Upward...... Connecting Inward...... Reaching Outward...... Moving Forward......

Who Are We?

We are ordinary people who make up the family of the Cornerstone Community Church. We identify with the Church of God Reformation Movement with offices in Anderson, IN. The Church of God considers herself a part of God’s universal church. We emphasize the unity of God’s people and the availability of the Holy Spirit to enable us to be fulfilled and godly people. In the game of life, like you, we sometimes win and sometimes lose. We hurt, we rejoice, we dream and we dare. But more importantly we live, work and relax in the reality of God’s personal love and forgiveness demonstrated in Jesus Christ.

We are people looking for other people to welcome into our church family. We invite you to come, see and experience our acceptance, love and joy. You are welcome at Cornerstone Community Church.

Why Do We Exist?

We exist to carry out our God given mission of communicating and sharing God's love for everybody.  We do this by:

  • Presenting Jesus Christ to People as their Forgiver, Guide, Healer and Enabler.
  • Providing an educational program which nurtures their growth as God's children, integrates the sacred with the secular and assists them in being an authentic, caring witness in everyday life.
  • Planning worship services which glorify God, declare his availability to human need and celebrate his love, joy and peace.
  • Operating a spiritual hospital for those who suffer and need support, comfort and healing.
  • Functioning as a learning center for developing Christian ethics and embracing Biblical principals as guidelines for decision making and relating with other people.
  • Functioning as a "house" and people of prayer. Communicating our praise, thanks and needs directly to God.

Jesus Loves You And So Do We!!

What We Believe

We do not have a formal creed as we consider the Bible as our creed. Here are some Bible truths we emphasize:

  • The Bible is the inspired, inerrant word of God and still relevant even in this complex day and age.  (2 Timothy 3:16)
  • God the Creator is a loving and approachable God.  (John 3:16)
  • Jesus Christ is the only Savior from sin and the only way to have peace with God. (1 Timothy 2:5; and John 14:6)
  • Jesus was born of the virgin Mary and was resurrected from the grave. (Matthew 1:23; Romans 8:11)
  • Every person has sinned and needs divine forgiveness. (Romans 3:23; 6:23)
  • The unity of God's people.  (John 17:21; Ephesians 4:3-6)
  • Divine healing of the body, mind and spirit.  (James 5:14-16; Mark 5:1-15; Matthew 8:16-17)
  • The Holy Spirit as the believer's teacher, counselor and guide. (John 16:7,13
  • Eternal bliss or damnation.  (Matthew 25:46; John 3:16; Mark 9:43)
  • The Great Commission. (Matthew 28:18-20)
